Travel Planning

Tonight after work, I dug through the office closet on a mission. My mission? Suitcase Freedom. After we had moved into the house, we had shoved all of the suitcases deep into the closet in the office! It was a good thing - because, when have we really traveled and used them...umm...never! After about 20 minutes, I had freed my suitcase and started to jot down the things that would be going into said suitcase. It is going to be weird to pack for weather in the high 80s when the high around here has been 30 and snow...

I pulled out my flip flops and was like, hello old friends! I am excited just to wear those outside again! Yeehaw! I also grabbed my swimsuits with mixed feelings. On the upside, I am looking forward to getting some color on my pasty white bod, but then again...that means having to bare some of that pasty whiteness, which I have plenty of, and let's face it, I have been working out as much as a hibernating black bear. Ugg.

It was weird to pull out tank tops with the thought of just wearing them and jeans too...no multiple layers! I checked the weather again and it was in the high 80s this week. Whew! I may just sizzle when I get off the plane! I did step into Eddie Bauer for the first time and made a purchase! I found a couple cool things that I plan on bringing down with me! My mind is filling up my suitcase as I type this...It almost makes me want to stop and finish jotting down the list, but how much can you really prep-pack without actually throwing the things in there?! Wow I am really out of packing practice! I did buy sunscreen! At least I hope not to turn into a lobster!!

Well, before I leave on my mini vacay, I need to work this weekend and also find a ride to the airport! The list of potential rides is getting more and more obscure...as it usually tends to when trying to find someone with a time slot open from about noon to 1:30pm or so, depending on who it is giving me the ride and how much driving is involved. I am going to be calling more people this weekend for that direct purpose.

Okay, I am officially mentally moved on to making that list, so I will write more later!
