Rather, it is about making my Pink Champagne Cupcakes for Kim's 50th birthday party tomorrow!
Yes, there is actual Champagne in the cupcakes and the frosting! Mmm! Champagne is my favorite! I actually had to look up the best way to pop a bottle of bubbly since, to my knowledge, I had not opened a bottle of Champagne before! I was glad that I looked it up - the directions I found suggested holding a towel over the bottle's top as you remove the cork. Good thinking! The cork would have flown across the room without the towel present and with all of the bubbles - some of it flowed out of the bottle! So, now I know how to uncork Champagne like a champ!
The cupcakes are baked, frosted, decorated and boxed, awaiting their trip to Eden Prairie for the birthday bash tomorrow! It will be a fun afternoon! I am looking forward to it!
After this commission, next up will be Halleigh's 2nd birthday cupcakes - Elmo! I may have to practice more with the frosting tip. I tried using the tip with firm frosting and it was pretty difficult - so there is room for some exploration!
Well, that's about it, just a cupcake update for the most part tonight!
I need to work on branding my cupcake creations...stay tuned!
