Crockpot Season

I think that for the months of October and November respectively in the Doberstein household, they could be considered "Crockpot Season."

Derick and I have found that making meals in the Crockpot on the weekends helps TREMENDOUSLY with our "lunch crisis" during the work week. Since we are both working - me at CBK and Derick at a long-term gig through mid-January in New Prague (thank goodness!) we both need lunch food, and tire of PB and J. So began the cadence of making a crock-pot meal intended exclusively for weekday lunches.

This weekend we really cranked on the Crockpots! Yes - Crockpots - as in TWO of them were/are running with yummy food in them! It also doubles as a great home air-freshener!

This morning we took Tucker to the dog park after a long hiatus, and he was LOVING it, as always. I really liked going out there and seeing all of the fall colors. The weather this week and weekend has been gorgeous! Hard to believe that we are in October rather than August or September! Tucker was so tired out from the park that he is currently sleeping close to my feet as I blog - about him.

Such a happy, muddy Tucker-oo at the dog park!

Let's see...what else is new? Work for me has been insane! We booked out our calendar to see all of the projects we are working on and the due dates for them. My next few weeks are going to be madness. And I also decided to jump back on the workout bandwagon. So, once again, Jillian Michaels is kicking my butt with her 30-day shred (that I have already done all the way through twice before). I like the way that the workout is set-up with that one. It is by no means easy though, and if you would have asked me the first day after I did it again after a long hiatus, I could have SWORN to you that my 5lb hand weights were 25 lbs each!  Whew!

I guess, other than that, things are good! Nothing too new to report, just thought I would jot down a little update! Cheers!

We should get together soon!
I've been using our crock pot a lot more here too! Easier to just let dinner cook through out the day while I'm with the kids, and then NOT have to rush an hour before paul gets home!
