The weary weekender!

Whew, it is only Saturday night, but I feel like I have been running into next week with all of the actual driving and running around that I have been doing the past couple days!

Friday afternoon I went out to lunch with some coworkers to elToro (an AWESOME Mexican place close to my house). That was really fun just to be done with work, on a Friday that felt like one of the longest, busiest, stressful weeks EVER! Then I got to come home for a couple hours, give Tucker some much needed attention, and then head over to my mom and dad's house to carpool with them to a grad open house for an old neighbor that we pretty much grew up with. It was really fun. It was in Victoria, MN. When we were driving out there, I was looking around and wishing I lived out there. It is so nice! some rolling hills, and HUGE, I repeat, HUGE houses! It doesn't help that this family, who used to live across the street from us, live on a golf course out there though either! I don't think that I could ever afford a house like theirs in my LIFETIME! But still, fun to dream!

I have been getting the itch to move out of state quite a bit recently. I am not really sure what exactly brought this on, but Derick and I have talked about the possibility and are both on the same page as far as wanting and willing to try out another state. We would just have to make sure that we BOTH had jobs there before we even considered moving, otherwise we would be in the same position now, one of us having something full time and the other not so much.

Continuing on my weekend tripping...today I drove out to Amery, WI for my grandma's 94th b-day party. It was a long drive for a little birthday gathering, but kind of fun too. I took Jana back when we left the party and dropped her off at my parent's house, and then she was off to babysit.

We passed the Apple River and that set me thinking about the fact that I also want to go camping really bad! (Talk about all the weird things that I am wanting to do! Maybe I just need a life change...) Although, camping at the Apple River would NOT be my first, second, or 100th choice of places to camp...yikes.

Derick was working on his "mistress" this weekend, aka his bass boat. It was kind of weird and kind of nice to have a couple days apart. We have grown so accustomed to seeing each other all the time, and for the most part, spending the weekends together too. He ended up trekking through Wisconsin this weekend, to Amery to pick up the boat, Menomonie, to pick up his cousin Joey, and then to Medford to get the lower unit of the boat looked at by his uncle, Ratt. He still isn't home yet, but that's no problem to me! I plan on picking up my last Twilight book and hopefully finishing it tonight or tomorrow! When we were driving to the grad party lastnight, my sister was next to me and asked me what chapter I was on in the book. I told her I was on "Shiny," and she said that she was on the same one! How weird is that?! So we read together for about 2 chapters until she got carsick...but now I only have a few chapters to go! whoo hoo!

Then tomorrow, to finish up my weekend, I get to stay pretty close to home this time, while my parents and sister come to me! We are going to eat at Buona Sera at 5:30 and then come back to my house for ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. YUM that is my FAVORITE! yay! I will have to put a picture of it on here when I get it tomorrow!

more later to come, I am sure!
